We're happy to announce that Camporee 2019 will feature Hoth Mountain as a Patrol activity, as well as general free activity for all scouts in the afternoon.
Teamwork will be the goal in winning this event. Is your Troop up to the adventure and Challenge?
Patrol leader guides blindfolded crew through obstacles.
Even as an individual sport, tomahawk throw will test the Patrol in hitting the mark.
See the Outpost (Signal) Tower Instructions below to earn 100 Bonus Points!

The image is below. The instructions are for a 14’ tall structure. https://scoutpioneering.com/2013/02/02/14-double-ladder-signal-tower/
MATERIALS:
If your scouts wish, they can scale it down to this 8’ tall structure, for fewer points (because there’d be fewer lashes). https://scoutpioneering.com/2013/08/07/climbing-towers-at-the-jamboree/
Our pioneering pro (volunteer) leader Marty Price will be judging your work again this year - thanks Marty!
Given the proper practice and preparation, this should take approximately 2 hours to build Saturday afternoon. No pre-built sections, of course - we will go around and check for the pile of materials before calling “GO” at 12:30. Leaders advise but do not build, of course. Towers will be judged starting at 5 p.m., all work must stop at that time.
Need tips on what type of materials to buy for these, if this is new for your unit and leaders?
